Worried About Others

It is important to remember that if someone you care for is misusing drugs or alcohol it is unlikely to be your fault.

The Harbour Centre recognises that the affects of substance misuse are rarely confined to the user in isolation; we therefore understand the impact on those affected by another’s drug or alcohol using behaviours.

The Harbour Centre has been delivering drug and alcohol treatment within the City of Plymouth for two decades, this puts us in an excellent position to support those affected by a loved one's use of drugs or alcohol.

The Harbour Centre can offer information or advice regarding the use of illicit drugs or alcohol; this can be done over the phone or in person.

Please contact us if:

  • You are concerned that some one you care about might be using drugs or alcohol excessively
  • You would like to understand why people use, or have problems with their use of, drugs or alcohol
  • You want to know more about how excessive drug and alcohol use affects someone's well being
  • You want to know where to get more help

If you are worried about someone please email louiserowe@nhs.net or call
