On the 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect throughout the UK and Europe.
These regulations strengthen the protection of Data Subjects personal data and increase the penalties for Data Controllers breaching those regulations. They also make it incumbent on Data Controllers to demonstrate and show accountability and compliance with the GDPR.
It has been identified that the use of FAX machines exposes us; Harbour (as the Data Controller) to risks in data security.
We are therefore ceasing to send or receive any personal data of people accessing our services and staff by FAX as of the 31st March 2020. Any communication of this data must now be conducted by email. Please contact Harbour for the most appropriate email address to send this information to.
The FAX machine will after this date be off line permanently.
